The British Council supports the professional development of language teachers around the world through engagement with national education systems and the development and provision of high-quality online learning experiences. Since 2021, ThornLearning has provided technical support services, facilitating transitions to a new learning management system (LMS) and learning content management system (LCMS), enabling increased learner engagement.

Specific services included:

  • UAT testing
  • SCORM editing and management
  • LMS administration: building and populating new courses
  • Managing user communications
  • Archiving resources in legacy systems
  • Developing and producing user guidelines and tutorials for internal and user audiences
  • Delivering LMS training to course tutors
  • Supporting the technical support team in resolving user requests
