Project overview
TeachingEnglish supports more than seven million users worldwide through online courses, professional development resources, social media channels and teaching communities. Thorn Learning provides specialist video production services across this ecosystem, creating and updating digital learning assets that help teachers engage with TeachingEnglish resources and develop their classroom practice.
The project spans a wide range of media production activities, including learner guidance videos, FAQ resources, course videos, classroom simulations, social media assets and short-form clips derived from longer professional development content.
How we worked with the client
Chris Thorn works closely with the TeachingEnglish Open Learning team to plan, develop, edit and publish video content in line with TeachingEnglish branding, accessibility standards and learning objectives.
The project involves:
- Updating existing FAQ and learner guidance videos.
- Producing new learner guidance and professional development toolkit videos.
- Editing teacher-contributed talking-head videos for online courses.
- Creating animated classroom simulations and demonstrations.
- Producing short-form social media clips from longer recordings.
- Creating transcripts, captions and subtitle files.
- Designing video thumbnails and supporting graphic assets.
- Quality assuring content for accessibility and brand compliance.
- Maintaining editable project files for future updates.
Work is prioritised and scheduled collaboratively with the Open Learning team, with outputs developed for use across the TeachingEnglish website, Articulate Rise courses, YouTube and social media channels.
