The People to People cultural engagement 2016-2021 initiative aims to provide people within the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) with the skills and opportunities to fully integrate within, and contribute to society; as well as to take part in decision making in their communities, countries, and the EU.
Building on the programme’s success in 2017-18, the teacher development strand of the British Council’s People to People programme in the Baltic Sates continued in partnership with local teacher associations and organisations. Chris supported the project as a speaker and trainer with sessions focused on developing learner engagement and motivation.
Chris designed, and then as a moderator, supported the delivery of the programme’s 63-hour, 35-week online component. This involved working with 95 teachers as they engaged with a range of elective modules focusing on inclusive practice and learning technologies. Learning was further embedded through the use of video-enabled developmental observations, reflection and distance mentoring with Iris connect.
