Thorn Learning co-wrote and edited two new modules for the British Council’s online course, Communicative tasks, a nine‑hour self‑study training package, and complementary workbook for English language teachers.

Project overview

Thorn Learning supported the TeachingEnglish open courses team developing and writing six self-study units, the core components of Teacher well-being, a digital open learning course for teachers. We also produced the supplementary workbook.

How we worked with the client

Supporting the project as a writer and editor, Zoë collaborated closely with the British Council TeachingEnglish open courses project manager, finalising storyboards, reviewing and managing assets and quality assuring units built in Articulate Rise360.

Thorn Learning (Chris) designed and produced the accompanying workbook and supported the courses’ delivery through his management of the Courses for teachers (CfT) learning community (currently 100k+ members). In the CfT community on Facebook, course participants are helped to extend and apply learning within their own practice through live sessions, additional resources and daily discussions moderated by course tutors.
