The Professional Up-skilling of English Language Teachers programme (ProELT1) was a 12 month blended-learning programme focused on developing the language proficiency and teaching skills of 5000 teachers (primary and secondary) within the Malaysian state education system.
As a moderator, Chris supported 180 participants in Terengganu state for the 12-month duration of their 240-hour online course. Learning was enabled through a combination of online learning content, collaborative forum tasks, assignments and webinars.
ProELT1, which provided Chris with his first taste of developing online teacher development content, was delivered by the British Council on behalf of the Malaysian Ministry of Education.
