Following on from the success of ProELT1 (see next entry), the Professional Up-skilling of English Language Teachers programme (ProELT2) was a 12 month blended-learning programme focused on developing the language proficiency and teaching skills of 9000 teachers (primary and secondary) within the Malaysian state education system.
As a moderator, Chris supported 140 participants in Penang state for the 12-month duration of their 240-hour online course. Learning was enabled through a combination of the British Council’s English for Teaching online learning content, collaborative forum tasks, assignments and webinars.
Chris also developed and delivered training to British Council moderators and teacher trainers delivering the programme on behalf of the Malaysian Ministry of Education.
